The three times I've eaten at this restaurant over the past year, the food was subpar to horrible. The food was cold and salty. Each time, I had to speak to a manager about personnel cleanliness. On two separate occasions, they did not wash their hands with soap, they just rinsed their fingers with water and put on their gloves. The other day, there was a bug in the ice cream. After I pointed it out, he got a spatula and scooped it out. I walked away. I will never eat there again!

This is exactly what you would expect from a buffet that pumps out lots of food and lots of customers. I've seen some strange things going on with kids putting their finger in the food and general carelessness on behalf of the staff. They don't care to be at work or help you. It's really bottom of the barrel. You can find food that is edible and I'm pretty easy but in the end you're not coming here for equality. For that matter you're not coming here for service either. I advise the man behind the counter serving food that he had switched the bread pudding and apple pie so that the signs were wrong but he didn't want to fix it. I molested him till he did.

Typical american buffet restaurant. The food is good and has large selections to choose from. Giving this 3 star is because it looks dirty. I asked for plastic utensils and was asked if I was dining in, when I said yes, I was told the plastic utensils would cost me $1 extra. So that means it would cost my family $4 extra to eat with plastic forks. So ridiculous.

Okay it's fair to say I don't like buffets... But... This one was clean and the food fresh. I am giving it 4 stars for the cleanliness and fresh hot food. Service was good as well. Price cheap! It was a quick stop for us. Now there was noting outstanding as far as food so don't get your hopes up there. Still don't like buffets but this one was doable .. And I felt the staff was on their toes! Enjoy

Great choices for breakfast . Tasty food with much too much salt. Seems to always have A shortage of clean silverware.never any glasses for oj. Somewhat decent value for the money.

I've been seeing the commercials for a while, and then when I realized that there was a Golden Corral near my Dad's house, I decided, "What the heck? Why not?" As it turned out, there was a big selection of food that was very good, and the staff was very friendly and kept the place very clean. Very cool to have a do it yourself ice cream bar. I could even sneak a few gummy bears out of the place just for myself. So as it turns out, every time I go back to my Dad's, I will make sure to go back here. Well, at least this is WAY better than Old Country Buffet all the way in Levittown, NY. Just very delicious...

Golden Corral gets the job done but this location has definitely gone downhill the last few years. The food is mediocre but what do you expect at such a large buffet? My steak had a huge amount of gristle. My husband said his steak tasted really salty. I noticed today the selections of fresh fruits and vegetables looks like it has been cut down significantly. Canned pineapple? You can't find fresh fruit in South Florida? Ugh. The Women's Room is in dire need of repair. The soap and toilet paper dispensers are falling apart. Throughout the restaurant there are other items that are in disrepair like stains and base tiles missing or falling off the wall. I will probably return but if things continue to slide at GC, eventually I may not come back to this location.

This is the worst restaraunt on the planet! Customer service is a joke. The managers look and act like they just came from the circus. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

All the employees are running around to try and work at different stations and make more food. There is food all over the counters. Very messy. Didn't get good service. Wasn't impressed with the food at all. Will not return.

The food was good. Patrish my waitress made fun of my appearance and how much I ate. My husband was sitting by the waitress station and heard her. He new she was talking about me because she said "see that fatbitch with the polka dot dress, ect. ect. I was so embarrassed. He wanted to tell a manager but I just wanted to leave.

Oct. 3rd...Cockroach was standing right on the stainless steel counter right next to the tray of fried chicken! ..a woman screamed...the guy benind the buffet counter just looked at it...another guy came out of the kitchen with a rag and got it...they then removed the pan of fried chicken...I wonder if they just took it in the back and then brought it out again.....My thoughts are how bad is the infestation that they are on the buffet counter!!?? I used to go there all the time but now after seeing this ..NO WAY!. I couldn't eat anymore after seeing that roach on the counter..it spoiled my appetite...especially since I had eaten some of that fried chicken earlier ..ugh... Now I'm seeing the post that a guy in another florida city got a rats head in his chili! Golden Corral needs to seriously clean up their act. No More Golden Coral Boynton Beach Or Anywhere!

I will never eat at this Golden Coral again. The baby back ribs were cold and undercooked. The service was poor. The place was dirty and they scooped a dead bug out of the ice cream and never replaced it.

Food was so over cooked that I could barely eat anything without spitting it out. I tried just about everything there hoping to find something that was edible but nothing was any good and it all made me feel sick. I asked the manager Aniram for my money back and he not only refused but threatened to call the police on me for telling him the food was very bad. Said not good for other customers to hear this. I guess he figured if he gave my money back there would be a long line of others asking for their money back as well. I asked him to try the turkey that I said was really dry but he said he had it earlier and refused (Really think he knew how bad it was and knew he to would have had to spit it out) Stay far away from this nasty location! Ben one of the Managers of this location called me back after I called their Corporate headquarters. Instead of him apologize to me how I was treated he became very nasty to me and then agreed with the other nasty Manager and told me never to come back. This is a franchised location and I guess corporate can not do much about it. Be smart and don't go there. Update Restaurant Inspection for this Golden Corral!! 15 Violations Dec 8, 2011!!!! Get real, this is a buffet, not an elegant sit down, table cloth restaurant. If you want a buffet with a huge selection at a very low price there is no better value than this restaurant. The volume of people that this restaurant serves is enormous, so if a little food spills over the serving tray this is to be expected. The staff is always cleaning up if there is a problem especially because there are a lot of kids serving themselves. Putting this restaurant in perspective this is the best deal in Florida!

Golden Years Corral or Bluehair Buffet, whatever. This barely qualifies as food. I think Gerber makes better 'food'. Amanda hit it spot on. The Wal-Mart of restaurants.

    (1)
  • David C.

Calling this the WalMart of restaurants is an insult to WalMart! This Golden Corral is horrible. As a rule, any decent food will be empty or have one or two sorry pieces left. Their latest promotion was "seafood". This "seafood" was two nearly empty trays of deep fried, probably previously frozen "mystery fish" and a couple of pieces of tilapia swimming in butter. The only decent food is the steak but prepare to wait for two tiny slices. A must skip....

I hadn't been here in years and I was feeling down , kinda wanted some comfort food, maybe a piece of fried chicken, some macncheese Well I 'm glad I started off with a big salad plate as Its hard to screw that up, just about everything else sucked. The fried chicken was dried chicken the chicken sesame was coated in sticky too salty soy sauce, the bourbon chicken ech and on and on. At 1:30 some of the less popular item's looked really too dried out to try. I tried two bites of several things hoping to hit on something edible Note I did use a few napkins to spit crap out. The rundown the pot roast was actually halfway decent, the tempura fish and fried shrimp as well, and the clam chowder a solid B+, I didn't get the steak seemed everyone else did so maybe that was OK (but I doubt it), the meatloaf & the ham eh, Everything seemd overly salty I bet they use MSG and I'm sure the fish was imported from Costa Rican and Vietnamese fish pens though that seems everywhere now Everything else to me seemed the lowest grade food to stuff oneself with. Plenty of fat people there Poor souls. I did like the carrot cake & soft ice cream and my attendant / server was nice so I upped it to a 2 star as you cant do a 1.5. I will never go there again. For 12.50 one can do a heck of a lot better even with a sandwich from a good sub shop like Primos on Woolbright and you'd get change!

Pretty good food and desserts. They also have a big selection of food and desserts. Service was great and there was nothing to complain about except the fact that I got full pretty quick but I still ate more. I will be back again for breakfast or dinner.

This place has certainly gone downhill - I really used to like it. Went for lunch today, had some fried chicken ... no dark meat. Tried to get some corned beef that they were slicing and the guy gave me a thin shaving of a slice. When I asked for more, he scraped up the fall away bits and put it on my plate. When I spoke to the manager about this disrespectful action, he didn't apologize, just said I could go and get more. I didn't. Obviously the management doesn't care what happens. I know it's not fine dining, but the food used to be nicely prepared and served, and the staff used to be courteous and helpful.

I got reeled into coming here because my grandfather, who is in his 90s, likes it here. There would be no way I would be visiting this place, even on my last dollar, on any other occasion. For those who say, "what do you expect, this is a buffet," I say you are still ignoring the fact that you take food that has been touched or manipulated by weird looking people with ragged clothes for the past ten minutes or more. I saw one post on here that received food poisoning, well I really think its 50/50 chance that you got it from one of the customers or the food. The food is really low grade, cafeteria food. Rice was dry and undercooked. Of course the few things healthy were bathed in butter and other stuff. Funny thing is the salad bar is okay, you won't see a single customer going there (LOL), so stick with the salad and whatever you see that is somewhat healthy. Service is friendly (the only reason for the second star) If you see someone questionable grab food before you, I'd choose something else. (I literally saw people taste from the spoons that you get food from). I guess all I can say is Good Luck!

It's always dinner and a show. Bit the selections are good. They have a very good salad bar selection and the krab salad is tasty. There's always fresh turkey and it's always moist. Wings are good. The other night they had chopped steak. Not gritty at all and flavorful. Chicken overs are also a tasty treat. Dessert bar looks good but I go not indulge. Server staff is friendly. Don't forget to thank them for their efforts.

This place has a good selection of food and incredibly nice staff! The only draw back would be the other customers and the decor reminds me of a high school cafeteria. Similar to the Las Vegas nickel slot buffets. Still you get good food for only paying $11 for an adult. Plus they even have a cotton candy machine for the kids.

I got food poisoning here that lasted 6 days! Worst illness I've ever had. I can honestly say I could never allow myself to eat here ever again. Inspection Report: myfloridalicense.com/ins…

I don't get all the hate on this place. It's a buffet, and the biggest drawback isn't the food, it's the customers. The staff is nice, if a bit overworked, and they are nice to the kids running around the place. They have more patience than I would. The food is good, and there is a lot of it.

It's a buffet, if you are expecting a 5 star restaurant go somewhere else. The food is definitely quality and they have a wide variety. It is pretty clean and the staff has always been friendly to me.

The food is very good. It's not the Ritz. It's a family buffet restaurant where there is something for everyone and it's cheap. The salad bar is fresh with a variety of lettuces and every topping. The fried shrimp are good, so is the fried chicken, turkey, and pot roast. Be sure and get there early on weekends or you can't get in. From 3-5 is early bird, not a bad time to go. It's already crowded. Pick a table out of the way. Go hungry and leave room for desserts.

Ok people, this is a buffet, not a 5 star sit down restaurant! I don't get all the 1 star reviews. You are paying $10 for all you can eat! Don't expect caviar and foie gras! I love the pot roast, the fried chicken, and the dessert. The pizza has an off taste, but who eats pizza at a buffet? The salad bar is pretty good and all the produce looks fresh. I love the fresh fish station where they cook the fish or shrimp right there. I always get the shrimp with alfredo or scampi sauce. Yum! The chocolate fountain is the kicker, all you can eat chocolate covered strawberries....sometimes I get dessert first! The steak is usually pretty good, sometimes it is grainy but 80% of the time it tastes good. The staff is friendly, especially the staff serving the food. The waiters are always friendly and prompt. Don't forget to tip the staff! You can put a tip on the check when you first come in if you don't have cash on you. I have been to many buffets in MN where I am from, and this is by far the best buffet I have seen besides in Vegas. It is best to go at a time when they are busy, but not too busy. Week nights are best we have found. The food is fresh but you don't wait forever. Don't go on a Saturday or Sunday unless you want to wait 45 minutes.

Not great food but it's cheap and it's a buffet. I hit up the salad bar first, then pick at whatever they have. The meats aren't the best, fish dishes are overcooked but they do have a large selection. I do like their bread pudding and the bluebell ice cream.

  • Patty W.

I don't really care for buffets because you end up walking out of there with your buttons undone. I give this place 2.5 stars. If you want to get a deal, go there around 10 in the morning and you can get two meals in one for the breakfast price. They stop serving breakfast around 10:30, so you'll be able to stuff your face with eggs, pancakes, bacon, you name it before you move on to lunch. Not the best brunch you'll have though. The salads and meats can be better and fresher. Be careful that you don't go to the bathrooms. They can be smelly and dirty if the people don't treat them properly. Yuck. The bread pudding is so good though. There is usually a line of people out the door on Sunday mornings, but we didn't have to go through that when we came here yesterday. Maybe it needs a little help with improvement.

I agree with Len R. YOU GOTTA GET REAL IN THIS BUFFET. You may whine and cry about how bad or horrible it is, you spent 10 bucks and you are allowed to regurgitate your food out without much complaint. Really? Just stuff it with banana cream pie. I vaguely recall spitting the *AWESOME POT ROAST* into a napkin. That food label was definitely fraudulent advertising. I got suckered into this restaurant because Golden Corral is advertising in New York City. I dont know why, but I always give in to the power of food suggestion. When we came down to FL my husband made it a point to take me here on our first wedding anniversary because I was denied of it the last two times we were in West Palm Beach. Yes, it was *finally* a dream come true. (no, im not sarcastic this time.) The technique to navigating Golden Corral is not rocket science. You know the food has been sitting under heat lamps, YOU BETTER EAT FOOD THAT WILL STAY GOOD UNDER HEAT LAMPS. you want your steak rare? Then stay away from any of the beef. It will be dry. You like it well done - then this is your thing! Salad is not a food group, IMHO, so i didnt even look at it. i dont eat salad on a regular basis, and Golden Corral surely won't change my mind about this. So what's good to eat here? The fried chicken. Their fried chicken is pretty good, smother that bird with some gravy and potatoes. Yes, you can have mashed potatoes as a fried chicken sauce. I sure did. And I enjoyed every bite of it. The nachos are good. But you have to build this yourself. The tortilla chips are light and crispy, smother that with taco meat, salsa and cheese. Yum. I still think about these nachos. Corn on the Cob. Another stellar choice! The dessert portion? OMG. you better believe i ate a lot from that part! hahaha. They have ice cream. BLUE BELL ICE CREAM** - as much as you want. They also have soft serve. and cake. and banana creme pie that was soo good, the lady behind me proclaimed that she won't drink coffee yet she went back to this dish three times. Yeah! That lady wont trade her banana creme pie for a mocha frappuccino! I certainly have had better meals for about 10 bucks, but im not going to complain if someone takes me to this joint. It is all about appreciation of free*** and abundant food. ** In new york city, we dont have blue bell ice cream in the supermarket shelves. if you want your fix, you should go to Hill Country BBQ. They serve it there. *** If someone takes me out to eat here, I will gladly come. Will I spend another 10 bucks here? No. I only come to FL for short stays and I have other places in mind to eat. That list is long.

i went completely blasted to then have it completely get blown away with the food there. i stayed away from the seafood since its a buffet and its all you can eat. which im sure they use imported seafood which is very bad to eat. and also most of the food didnt look too good. chicken was dry. beans had no flavor. i couldnt even eat the steak. no seasoning of flavor whatsoever. it was just a waste of time and digusting to eat steak. the ice cream and brownie were good so i just stuffed myself with desserts since that was basically the only good thing to eat... the place is overcrowded as hell and i dont know how its still open and not out of business. i woulnt come here again. hopefully the other location in florida city near the keys is better and hopefully not as loud.

  • Thais A.

Ew. Gross. Never coming here again! The salad bar is not fresh and it was a very small selection. The rest of the dishes are either fried or loaded with cream and butter, and the desserts I didn't even want to get near. This was the first time i've ever been to any Golden Corral restaurants. I thought I was going to hate it, and now I know I do. The food that is served in the cafeteria at FAU is better than this crap.

This place is horrible. I wanted a refund but I did not want 2 draw any extra attention 2 myself. The place smells like vomit and I am sure that "stuff" is not food. I would be curious to see what the recent restaurant inspection report looks like... They are lucky we can't give them negative stars...

You get what you get with a buffet. That being said - this place is so badly run. Went with my cousin for lunch. Both got a salad then went up for some food and absolutely nothing was ready. We got stuck eating side dishes - waited and waited nothing ever came out that was real food. I refuse to ever go back
